Why Choose Us?
You probably see all kinds of advertisements from other clinics offering LASIK eye surgery to restore your vision. Some offers can look downright inexpensive (until you add up all of the extra costs.)
So why choose us to do surgery on your eyes? We’d love to tell you …
Our surgeon, David Underwood, M.D., was the first to use the excimer laser for vision correction in West Tennessee in 1998. Since then, he has done thousands of surgeries and remains a trendsetter in refractive surgery.
We use the latest technology. We offer bladeless, all laser Z-LASIK. This is where the LASIK flap is made with a precise laser (replacing the older blade technology). Z-LASIK surgery has fewer post-operative complications such as dry eye, glare and haloes. Many patients experience faster visual healing results, many seeing 20/20 or better the very next day. Ninety-five percent of our patients have chosen Z-LASIK over the traditional surgery since we began offering it.
Here’s more on our technology. Our laser is a state-of-the-art VISX Star S4 Iris Registration Excimer Laser System with Wavescan System.

You have no extra costs. Your Z-LASIK price at the LASIK Center of Jackson includes a free screening to see if you are eligible for LASIK, a two-hour comprehensive consultation to gather pre-surgical data, the surgery, follow up visits and any follow-up surgery.
